A Night On Earth
Our third album and the follow up to 2004’s underground highlight 24 Hour Psychedelic Freakout.
Described as a coming-of-age record, it is undoubtedly their most mature event yet with an emphasis on songwriting and live instrumentation. The producers have sculpted a very tight and nostalgic 70s/early 80s soundscape that throws up images of afros, glitterballs and flares.
Singer Danielle Moore tackles the tough electro kicks, elastic basslines and jazz-disco licks with aplomb, her voice ranging effortlessly from the saccharine to the seductive. Tunes like the alluringly sassy “Lady T”, “Turn Away”, “Can’t Get Down” and the title track fuel the record, counter-balancing the weaker songs.
The sense of fun and musical insouciance inherent in this project effortlessly confirms the band’s talents
